Leave work and stressors behind and begin your evening with restored & balanced energy.
This session begins with a gently flowing vinyasa yoga sequence that promotes a mind-body connection to transpire. Connecting your body to your breath will warms and energizes you. Next, you'll then proceed to the floor to do gentle Yin postures to rejuvenate your energy pathways such as joints, muscles, and connective tissues. Finally, you will engage in a few gentle restorative poses to balance your body, calm your mind's racing thoughts, and help to reconnect with your spirit. It's time to to be calm and com-POSED. 😁
About Your Practitioner:
Sheila Rogers, RYT500, completed her 300-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Rolf Gates during the pandemic of 2021. Her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training was completed back in 2017.
During the pandemic she also attended Restorative Training with Judith Hansen Lasiter. In 2023 she completed Rewind Gold: Successful Aging and is now working on an on-line anatomy course with Doctor Yogi. She has also completed two of Josh Summers Josh Summers 50-hour Yin Teacher Trainings. Sheila began her yoga journey in 2005 in Power Yoga to enjoy its physical benefits and replace her 10-year practice of karate.
She found that the emotional and spiritual benefits are huge as yoga postures and meditations have brought much comfort, peace and balance through career, physical and emotional challenges. Vinyasa Flow, Restorative and Yin with their physical, emotional and meditative benefits have no successfully replaced her power yoga practice. Retired from high tech and returning to her teaching roots as she was a high school math teacher and recreational ski instructor.
Sheila loves to share what yoga offers as it enhances one’s personal abilities, peace of mind, and most of all … life. She hopes that the beautiful space you make on your mat is taken out to your family, community, and our world; remembering to always treat yourself and others with kindness, love and compassion
